Our wedding takes place in a beautiful, peaceful corner of rural France, where taxis and rideshares like Uber aren’t readily available, so we kindly ask that you arrange your travel in advance. For those staying in our recommended accommodations, we’ll be organising minibuses to transport guests to and from the venue across all three days (please see below for pricing), allowing you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the celebrations. Of course, you’re very welcome to arrange your own transport if you prefer.

Airport taxi

One of the easiest ways to get around is by renting a car. Taxis may be available at the airport, but we strongly recommend pre-booking all journeys in advance. Wedding Weekend Transportation

For your comfort and ease, we will be arranging transport to and from the venue for guests staying in our recommended accommodations. The cost per person per day is as follows:Friday: €20 ppSaturday: €25 ppSunday: €25 pp We hope this allows you to relax and enjoy the celebrations from start to finish.

Getting There

The Château can accommodate only 28 guests, so on-site accommodation is currently reserved for the families of the bride and groom. Guests not staying at the Château will need to book nearby accommodations. We’ve put together a list of nearby options, all conveniently served by our pre-arranged transportation. There are plenty of Airbnb options in and around Auch too - many are affordable, central, and perfect for groups or anyone wanting a bit more flexibility. In most of the larger accommodations/Airbnbs, you can either group with friends or just book separate rooms. Yiwei and I can also help connect you with others who’ll be staying there in advance. You’re welcome to stay elsewhere, but if you do, we kindly ask that you organise your own transportation.

Auch’s main landmark hotel is in a great central location to explore the town. We’ve reserved 11 rooms at this hotel - to receive a 10% discount, please book via by email using code: WEDDING.

Hôtel de France

The chateau sleeps up to 20 people (14 adults and 6 children) and is spread across 3 floors, with 7 ensuite bathrooms.

Chateau Labarthe

A newly renovated self catering gîte or Maison d’hôtes. There is a 15% discount if you book on their website directly. Sleeps 8 guests, 4 double rooms with en-suites.

Barbarens - Maison d'hôtes

5 double bedrooms (including a family suite in the Cottage). 1 cottage "Les Rosiers" with 2 rooms that sleeps 4.

Maison Le Gavachon

Sleeps up to 15 guests. 5 double bedrooms, 5 bathrooms and 1 quadruple room. Direct booking via email is preferred.

Villa Laurca 

Farmhouse with 4 bedrooms providing B&amp;B accommodation. Also 10 self-catering chalets that all sleep between 2-6 people. Contact: Véronique

Very close to the chateau and good value.

Hôtel Campanile Auch

Good value, located near a sports ground and shopping centres. Quiet at night, yet just a 10–15 minute walk from the town centre.

Where to Stay

Welcome to the region of Gascony; known for its traditional slow way of French life, its markets and its famous duck and Foie Gras! As well as exploring the traditional town of Auch there are plenty of activities in the French countryside nearby. We recommend exploring traditional French markets, small towns and cathedrals to start. Beyond that we have some recommendations below. Fabulous small plate sharing food, freshly made using local ingredients by English chef Isabel, and a magnificent wine selection of some of the most interesting wines available. What’s not to love? Highly recommended.

CRU - Cave et Repas à l'Unisson

A typical French brasserie. Well located as situated in the ‘Centre Historic’ in front of the roundabout by the Auch Cathedral.

Le DarOles

Popular cafe located right in the heart of the old town with good tasty food. Open daily from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Great huge steaks, good salads, omelettes and everything you would expect. Seats inside and on the pavement outside.

Le France Brasserie Restaurant

Located in Saint-Jean-Poutge, this vineyard welcomes you to discover the property and wines made on site. They speak English. Visit rate: 10 euros per person (tasting is included in this rate) The shop is open from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 7pmIndividualised tasting visits: 11:30am and 5pm each day

Wine Tasting - Domain Herrebouc

Located 20-30 minutes from Auch, Lavardens has been labelled one of “The most beautiful village in France” since 2011. Its 1140 castle is classified as a historical monument and has various rooms and exhibitions. The entrance fee is 5 euros or 6 euros with the guided tour for groups of more than 10 people. The visit is free for children under 18.

Château De Lavardens (CICAC-Lavardens Association)

Lovely golf course in Auch with 9 or 18 holes courses. They also have a restaurant on site where you can have lunch after a nice game. Special group rates: 9 holes 29€ per person + 12€ to rent half a series of clubs for the 9 hole circuit 18 holes 40€ per person Golf cart : 22€

Golf Auch Embats

Located just outside of Auch on a very wide property. They also have a paintball section. Quads:54€ / person for 1 hour Electric scooter: €40/person for 1 hour55€/person for 1h30 Paintball:2 game of 100 marbles at 25€/person3 games of 100 marbles at 32€/person

Quad Concept

Located just near Samatan, about 30 minutes away from the château. They have 2 circuits. The first one of 2h45 and the second of 4 hours. You can also bring a picnic if you would like to start at the end of the morning and stop along the way. Special group rates: 15 euros per person for groups of more than 20 people and 16 euros per person for smaller group. The price is 9€ for children under 12 years old.
